The following file extensions can be uploaded into Windows Movie Maker. If your file has a different extension {ending} you will have to choose another file or use a file conversion tool.

READY:
1. To start your movie you will need to import digital photos, video, and / or music that you want to work with.

2. This can be done two ways:
a. Import video directly from your digital device. Such as a family video so you can edit unwanted footage.
b. Or import saved files from your computer. Saved digital photos, music, or videos that were imported to your computer at an
earlier date.
3. Follow the pop-up directions or if more assistance is need go to the resource section of this tutorial.


To import files into Windows Movie Maker
4. Click File, click on Import Media Item (picture, video, or audio)
5. Select Import into Collections {like a picture album}

If you want to work with still photos click on Impory pictures, locate them, choose them, Import them into your collection.

If you want an audio file click on Import audio or music, locate it, choose it, then import it into your collection.

Likewise with video clips, Decide if you want the whole video or a portion of it, choose accordingly. Click start video import. Click on stop or finished when you have what you desire. If more assistance is needed go to the rsource page at the end of this tutorial.
